Rhinoplasty is a complex operation to reshape the nose.

Commonly many elements of the anatomy of the external and internal parts of the nose and nasal passages may present with functional problems, such as poor breathing or obstruction. Additionally, aesthetic concerns about the appearance of the nose are very common.

Surgery to modify or reconstruct these various elements constitutes what is commonly known as rhinoplasty.

Septoplasty is another common procedure. This focuses specifically on issues with the internal anatomy of the nose. Deviated septum can be congenital, or it can be acquired for example through injuries to the nose. However it occurs, the deviation can produce nasal obstruction. A septoplasty treats the abnormal anatomy, with the goal of improving the symptoms of nasal obstruction.

Rhinoplasty can be combined with septoplasty, an operation known as rhinoseptoplasty.

In some cases, a rhinoplasty can be a medically insurable procedure. This is determined by your surgeon after careful analysis and examination.
